graphic design, wayfinding & intervention, illustration

Domestic Abuse, is one of the most devastating and urgent issues we face today and our culture holds deep stigma and victim blaming that urgently needs to change. One women is killed every week from Domestic Violence (Looby & Hill, 2021).

Coercive Control is the most dangerous and hidden form of abuse, involving a pattern of controlling behaviours such as emotional and psychological abuse, resulting in the victim to lose their sense of self and their ability to see things clearly as the abuser makes them feel crazy and puts blame onto the victim, leading them to question reality (Looby & Hill, 2021).

Inspired by personal experience, ‘The Silent Epidemic’ aims to expose the reality of Domestic Abuse and invite the audience to put themselves in the victims shoes, breaking the stigma and taking the blame off the victim.

treatment signifies the importance and urgency of
