Visual Identity for the Graphic Identities Exhibition in collaboration with The Powerhouse Museum and UNSW.
Bringing together eight revolutionary designers from the 20th Century, the ‘Graphic Identities’ exhibition presented by the Powerhouse Museum showcases Australia’s most influential design archives and their role on shaping our culture. The Visual identity represents the evolution of design through the use of an engaging, modern and distinctive title treatment and a series of illustrations that centres the eight designers and their influence on Australia’s design journey.
Informed by the works of these 8 influential designers and with the aim to appeal to a ‘younger generation’ an intriguing & modern logo is placed in a rhythmic pattern with each letter changing direction in a wave like motion. The rhythm and motion in the design embodies the way in which design is constantly changing & evolving throughout the 20th Century and beyond. This reflects the return of trends and styles, the unique differences of these eight designers and how they come together to form a ‘wave’ that influences Australia’s design culture.
